Live Magazine
Editing,As part of my work with Frontier, a Toronto design office, in October 2019 I partnered with senior designer Tristan Marantos, designer Sarah Paul, and others on the second issue of Live Magazine. The magazine has a unique concept: for each issue, Frontier assembles a team of editors, writers, photographers, and illustrators to give readers insight into an event’s most powerful ideas and conversations. This issue responds to and expands upon DesignThinkers, Canada’s largest annual graphic-design conference.
I commissioned, edited, and copy-edited nearly all the text in the magazine, as well as wrote two articles (on the business of type design and on finding a better future through data-visualization projects). I also participated in the activation on-site at the conference. The issue is available now from Frontier’s online shop.
